Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation seeks a skilled Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room under AST guidelines. You will manage instruments, supplies, and sterile setup, support the surgical team during procedures, and help prepare the suite and move patients as needed.

Role requires 3 years of OR experience or national certification, strong English communication, and annual continuing education to maintain certification. BLS within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of Surgical Technologist experience in an operating room or Certification through an approved accreditation body as required by the state in which services are rendered.
• Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
• 20 Hours of continuing education annually as required to maintain certification based on state laws

Responsibilities

• Assists in performance of procedures for the surgical patient in a manner consistent with established policies and procedures.
• Assists in providing intraoperative care.
• Provides and utilizes equipment and supplies based on patient needs in a safely and adequate manner.
• Performs activities that demonstrate technical accountability.
• Participates in ongoing educational activities.
• Completes assigned goals.
