Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team under AST guidelines. You will handle instruments, supplies and sterile setup, assist in preparing the surgical suite, move patients, and maintain aseptic conditions to help the surgeon achieve safe operations and optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires three years of OR experience and national certification, with ongoing education and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of Surgical Technologist experience in an operating room.
• Certification through an approved accreditation body as required by the state in which services are rendered.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performance of procedures for the surgical patient following policies and procedures.
• Provide intraoperative care and assist the surgical team.
• Utilize equipment and supplies safely based on patient needs.
• Demonstrate technical accountability in daily tasks.
• Participate in ongoing educational activities and complete assigned goals.
