Job summary

Mercy Health in Fairfield is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to support the operating room and surgical teams. You will prepare the operating room, assemble routine supplies, and maintain aseptic technique to ensure safe procedures.

You will hand instruments to surgeons, assist with skin prep, and help with pre- and post-procedure cleaning. An associates degree in Surgical Technology and BLS are required; one year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology is required.
• One year of experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble supplies and equipment for operative procedures.
• Provide instruments and maintain aseptic technique during surgery.
• Prepare skin prep and assist with pre/post procedure cleaning.
• Report implanted devices, catheters, drains, and packing to circulator.
• Demonstrates knowledge of MIS, laparoscopy, and robotics as applicable.
