Job summary

UCHealth in Colorado is seeking a certified surgical technologist to perform as a proficient scrub technician. The role requires independent first scrub duties across service lines, adherence to sterile technique, and timely response to surgeon needs.

You will also precept staff, maintain safety standards, and collaborate with service specialists to optimize surgeon preference cards, while working in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Qualifications

  • Surgical Technologist or Surgical Assistant certification required.
  • State registration (DORA) as Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist.
  • NBSTSA CST or NCCT certification required.

Requirements
  • Surgical Technologist or Surgical Assistant certification required.
  • High School diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program, Associate’s Degree, or military training.
  • State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration (DORA).
  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification; BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with a valid card during the first 60 days of hire.
  • Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
  • None required minimum experience.
Compensation

Hourly: $27.61 – $41.41 (dependent on relevant experience).

Full time, 40.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks).

Days shift; onsite; no remote option.
