Moffitt is seeking a Surgical Technologist I to support the surgical team under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This role handles instruments, supplies and equipment, anticipates surgeon needs, and ensures quality patient care in the operative setting.

Duties include coordination of support services within Perioperative Services and related patient care tasks. Join a dedicated team within a nationally recognized cancer center.

Qualifications

• Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technologist I acts as a scrub person who handles instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and surgical team and has the knowledge to ensure quality patient care.
• Assists with support services in the delivery of care to operative patients, including transportation, inventory management and environmental cleanliness.

Responsabilités

• Acts as scrub person during surgical procedures and maintains sterile field.
• Assists with transportation and supply management within Perioperative Services.
• Provides direct patient, visitor and staff assistance as assigned.
