Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist I to join a dedicated surgical team. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will handle instruments, supplies and equipment, anticipate the needs of the surgeon, and ensure quality patient care.

The ideal candidate has 6 months to 1 year of OR experience and CST certification, with scrub experience in ortho, neuro, or general surgery. Responsible for maintaining sterile fields and assisting the team throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved Surgical Technologist program.
• CST Certification through NCCT or NBSTSA is required.
• 6 months to 1 year relevant OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile field.
• Support the surgical team through the surgical procedure.
• Assist the RN, Anesthesia and surgical team in planning care for each procedure.
