Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist I to assist in the perioperative environment under a Registered Nurse. You will handle instruments, supplies and equipment, anticipate needs, and ensure quality patient care during procedures.

The ideal candidate has CST certification, scrub experience, and familiarity with ortho, neuro, and general surgery. Salary ranges from base pay in the posted range, with opportunities in Perioperative Services.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved Surgical Technologist program.
• CST Certification must be through NCCT or NBSTSA.
• CST certification can be obtained with 12 months of employment, but must be maintained throughout employment.
• 6 months to 1 year relevant clinical experience as a Surgical Technologist in an OR environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile field
• Support the surgical team through the surgical procedure
• Assist the Registered Nurse, Anesthesia and Surgical team in developing a plan of care for each surgical procedure
