Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Neptune City, NJ, seeks a Surgical Technologist I to support the surgical team under RN supervision. You will assist with instrument setup, maintain a sterile field, and follow AORN guidelines to ensure safe procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 0–2 years of experience. Strong communication and computer skills are essential, and certification through AST is preferred or required per NJ law.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years of experience as a surgical technologist.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team by preparing instruments and supplies.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques.
• Observe infection control and PPE protocols.
• Assist with setup and cleanup of operating room.
• Participate in team briefings and on-call duties as needed.
