Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist I for St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. This role supports the surgical team in the operating room, ensures sterile fields, and manages instrument counts and supplies.

Evening shift, 24 hours per week, with weekend and holiday rotation. A sign-on bonus of $4,500 is available for this position. Requires completion of a surgical technology program and CST or eligibility, with BLS certification and vaccination requirements.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program required.
• CST credential or eligibility within 12 months of graduation or 6 months if >12 months from graduation.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team during intra-operative phase.
• Maintain sterile fields and prepare OR environment.
• Assist with instrument supply, counts, and handoffs during procedures.
• Participate in on-call duties as needed.
