Job summary

AdventHealth in Sebring, FL is hiring a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team. You will anticipate surgeon needs, assemble supplies and equipment, and maintain aseptic technique to ensure patient safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have high school grad or equivalent and preferred associate or technical/vocational training in surgical tech.
• Proficiency in English, aseptic technique, and knowledge of surgical instruments is required.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and ability to read and follow instructions is essential.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office knowledge are expected.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and communicates with the circulating nurse during procedures.
• Prepares and organizes supplies, equipment, and medications prior to surgeries.
• Maintains aseptic technique and supervises turnover and room cleanliness.
• Supports staff, responds to complaints promptly, and ensures safety and compliance.
