Job summary

St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, CO, is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support a high-volume operating room team. You will maintain a sterile field, hand instruments to surgeons, and ensure efficient room turnover across multiple specialties.

Responsibilities include passing instruments, preparing tables, and assisting in patient handling while maintaining calm communication in a fast-paced environment. On-call shifts and volume-driven scheduling apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
• Current registration with Colorado DORA as a surgical technologist.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile technique and verify package integrity.
• Perform counts with circulator before incision, during, and after procedure.
• Prepare back table and mayo stand per surgeon's preference card.
• Set up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications.
• Provide on-call coverage outside standard hours as required.
• Anticipate potential problems and adjust for emergent cases.
