Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
• Ability to anticipate needs and communicate with staff
• Ability to perform independently in scrub role

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical cases by obtaining and preparing supplies, equipment and instruments; maintains sterile field.
• Acts as 2nd assistant to surgeon; assists in draping and exposure; handles instruments and supplies.
• Performs room turnover, post-procedure cleaning, and proper handling of specimens and implants.
• Can scrub complex cases in 1–2 service line specialties; may assist with positioning and patient care under supervision.
