Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Grand Blanc, MI is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team, ensuring sterile technique and efficient setup for various procedures. This position is integral to patient safety and procedural success.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Day Shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday with rotating call shifts that include holidays. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered to new hires while contributing to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Certified BLS Provider per AHA within 6 months of hire.
• Completion of a recognized scrub technician program or CST certification.
• NBSTSA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with quality assurance, safety, and infection control standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assist in setting up operating rooms with instruments and supplies.
• Prepare and assist with surgical procedures, including draping and retractors.
• Decontaminate and sterilize equipment and instruments.
• Transport patients and assist with pre-operative preparations.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 6 months of hire or job transfer.
• Completion of a recognized scrub technician college program or minimum of two years ofexperience as a Surgical Technician, or one year as a Certified Surgical Technician.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Assistant credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
