Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating rooms at the HealthPlex tower. The role provides sterile technique, patient preparation, and assistance to physicians to ensure optimal outcomes across GYN, robotic, ENT, and urology cases.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited Surgical Technologist program completion or national certification, or have five years of related experience. Oklahoma LPN may apply; BLS required.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program, national certification in surgical technology, or five consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech.
• National Certification is highly preferred.

Departmental Overview

We have 3 operating rooms for GYN, robotic, ENT, and urology cases located at the HealthPlex tower at Norman Regional Hospital. Our nurses demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, autonomy, and critical thinking skills while caring for a wide range of patient types. We orient new nurses to each of our surgical areas, spending time with dedicated preceptors in each area. Upon completion of orientation, nurses will be able to circulate GYN, robotic, ENT, and urology cases as well as a wide variety of other service lines. Compensation / Benefits

• $21.99-$35.93/hr. depending on previous work experience.
• Evening differential $2.00/hr.
• Night differential $2.50/hr.
• Weekend differential $2.50/hr.

Experience

• Must have completed accredited Surgical Technology program, or must have five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech or LPN with one (1) year surgical tech preferred.
• National Certification is highly preferred.

Licensure / Certification

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
• If Certified Surgical Technologist must have current certification.
• Currently Oklahoma LPN license required if applicable.
