Job summary

Norman Regional is seeking a Surgical Technologist to provide a sterile environment, assist in procedures, and support physicians to promote optimal patient outcomes in our diverse surgical suites.

Requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or five years of experience; national certification preferred. BLS required. Regular full-time, day shift with 3 twelve-hour shifts per week and call expectations; generous benefits and sign-on bonus.

Departmental Overview

Compensation / Benefits

• $21.99-$35.93/hr. depending on previous work experience.
• Evening differential $2.00/hr.
• Night differential $2.50/hr.
• Weekend differential$2.50/hr.

We have 10 state of the art, operating rooms for general surgery, colorectal, breast and plastic surgery reconstruction, urology, robotics, and neurosurgery cases located in the ACC at Norman Regional Hospital. Our Surgical Technologists demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, autonomy, and critical thinking skills while caring for a wide range of patient types. We orient our Surg Techs to each of our surgical areas, spending time with dedicated preceptors in each area.

Qualifications

Education

• Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program, achieved national certification in surgical technology, or five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech.

Experience

• Must have completed accredited Surgical Technology program, or must have five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech or LPN with one (1) year surgical tech preferred.
• National Certification is highly preferred.

(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

Licensure / Certification

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
• If Certified Surgical Technologist must have current certification.
• Currently Oklahoma LPN license required if applicable.
