Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the Wake Forest Baptist Surgical Services Float Pool. You will support Wake region ORs, assist with sterile setup, and provide patient-focused care under the supervision of the RN.

This full-time role offers a 4x10 schedule with a 36-hour work week and includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. Growth opportunities exist across our Academic Learning Health System.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology program or an accredited Nursing program is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
• Certification in specialty area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality patient care and safety under RN supervision.
• Maintain instruments, supplies, and sterile fields before and after procedures.
• Communicate effectively with the team and patients in a professional manner.
• Demonstrate initiative for performance and professional growth.
• Assist with cost containment of instruments and inventory.
