Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our regional Surgical Services Float Pool, supporting Wake region ORs. This role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus if eligibility requirements are met.

As part of a renowned Academic Learning Health System, you will assist with sterile processing, instrument setup, and aseptic technique under RN supervision, contributing to safe patient care and team collaboration across the surgical services, mobility and

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology program or from an accredited school of Nursing
• 3 years of experience strongly preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Certification in specialty area preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking, anticipation and management of case specific needs, under direct supervision of the RN.
• Ensures complete, accurate and timely care, cleanliness and management of instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Communicates to the team, co-workers and patients in an effective, positive and professional manner. Demonstrates effective, positive, professional manners while exercising verbal and nonverbal communication to the multidisciplinary team, co-workers, and patients.
• Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance, professional growth and development.
• Demonstrates cost containment activities of instruments and inventory.
