Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room float pool in Nashville, TN. You will work closely with surgeons to anticipate needs, position patients with care, and maintain sterile fields throughout procedures.

This role requires NBSTSA credentialing, BLS within 30 days of hire, and a strong focus on patient safety and teamwork in a dynamic OR environment at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown, West and Rutherford campuses.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Intuitive Surgical Partnership: Act as the right hand to our surgeons by anticipating every move and ensuring the exact instrument or supply is ready before it’s requested.
• Patient Advocacy in Motion: Safeguard the patient’s journey with precise positioning and draping to ensure safety, dignity, and clinical excellence during the procedure.
• Guardian of Accuracy: Maintain a 100% accurate sterile field with organized workflows and counts, serving as the final word in patient safety from incision to closure.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
