Job summary

Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Surgical Technologist in Marshfield, WI, to assist in surgical procedures, maintain a sterile environment, and ensure patient safety.

Successful candidates will be graduates from approved surgical technology schools or accredited nursing programs, preferably with operating room experience. Required skills include knowledge of surgical procedures and basic life support certification.

The job offers a full-time schedule with a competitive salary range of $24.00 - $38.50 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of surgical technology or as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Experience in an operating room setting preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and surgical terminology required.
• National certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Prepare the surgical environment before procedures.
• Maintain an organized sterile field.
• Verify completeness of surgical items post-procedure.
• Participate in reconciliation activities during surgeries.
