Job summary

St. Joseph's Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to perform technical and clinical functions within the Preoperative Nursing Practice under direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.

The role includes room preparation, maintaining aseptic technique intraoperatively, and supplying instrumentation for procedures. The candidate must have completed an accredited surgical technology program or hold a certified surgical technologist credential, plus ongoing CE hours to meet state requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of an accredited surgical technology program or certified technologist credential.
• Continuing education: 15 hours annually.
• Credentialing by a national/regionally recognized body is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical/clinical functions of Preoperative Nursing Practice under RN supervision.
• Prepares the operative field and maintains aseptic technique intraoperatively.
• Provides instrumentation and supplies as required for surgical cases.
