Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Clinical Support Technician to join the Champaign Endoscopy Center. You will assist with patient care under RN direction, obtain and transport specimens, and help physicians with instruments and procedures.

The role requires an Associate's Degree or Surgical Technology certificate, CER within 18 months, BLS within 30 days, and 1+ year of experience. Strong communication, sterile technique, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• CER within 18 months — HSPA.
• BLS within 30 days — AHA.
• 1+ years of work experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of infection control principles.
• Ability to independently scrub basic surgical procedures.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology.
• Knowledge of electricity, chemistry, computers, robotics, lasers.
• Sterile technique and perioperative teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support in the Champaign Endoscopy Center.
• Assist with patient care activities under RN direction.
• Obtain and transport specimens according to hospital policy.
• Assist physicians with instruments, equipment, procedures, and treatments.
• Set up and tear down procedure rooms between cases.
• Reprocess endoscopes and accessory instruments.
• Clean and sterilize instruments according to policy and guidelines.
• Apply aseptic principles and maintain separation of clean and dirty areas.
• Document duties in nursing unit and patient records.
• Clean and stock exam and procedure rooms.
• Assist with inventory and restocking of supplies.
• Serve as a technical equipment resource within the department.
