Job summary

Revo Health in Edina, MN seeks a Surgical Technologist to provide technical expertise and patient care in the OR. You will assist with equipment, maintain sterile fields, and support the surgical team throughout all phases of procedures.

The role requires ARC/STSA/CAAHEP accreditation, NBSTSA certification, and BLS. Experience in the OR is preferred, with ongoing education and cost-conscious practice emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate from ARC/STSA or CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program.
• Equivalent military education also acceptable.
• Surgical Technologist Certification through NBSTSA.
• One year of Operating Room experience in the last 3 years.
• Current member of the ST preferred.
• Current BLS certification or completed upon.

Responsibilities

• Assists with obtaining equipment and supplies for procedures and prepares the surgical suite.
• Prepares sterile instrument tables and checks instruments and supplies for cleanliness and function.
• Ensures complete instrument and supply sets are ready prior to incision.
• Maintains aseptic environment throughout the intraoperative phase.
• Assists surgeon and team with all phases of surgery.
• Anticipates needs of the surgeon during intraoperative phase.
• Labels medications in compliance with policies.
• Operates specialty instruments and equipment used in the OR.
• Handles specimens per policies and procedures.
• Cleans and returns instruments to storage after cases.
• Assists in cleaning the OR between cases and after final case.
• Supports Circulating Nurse during procedures.
• Decontaminates, inspects and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Collaborates with disciplines to maximize patient outcomes.
• Reports occurrences per center processes.
• Fosters education and acts as a preceptor when needed.
• Participates in continuing education and skill development.
• Helpers in managing controllable costs by efficient use of the surgery center.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

ARC/STSA or CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program
