Job summary

Twin Cities Orthopedics in Edina, MN is seeking a Surgical Technologist to provide technical expertise and patient care support in the operating room. You will prepare sterile instruments, maintain aseptic conditions, assist surgeons, label medications, and help ensure efficient, safe surgeries. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications include ARC/STSA or CAAHEP accredited program, NBSTSA certification, 1 year OR experience, BLS, and preferred ST membership.

Qualifications

• ARC/STSA or CAAHEP accredited program in surgical technology
• Equivalent military education acceptable
• NBSTSA Surgical Technologist Certification
• At least 1 year operating room experience in the last 3 years
• Current member of the Surgical Technologist preferred
• BLS certification current or completed upon hire

Responsibilities

• Assist with obtaining equipment and supplies for scheduled procedures and prepare the surgical suite.
• Prepare sterile instrument tables and check cleanliness and function of instruments.
• Ensure complete instrument sets are ready before incision.
• Maintain aseptic environment throughout intraoperative procedures.
• Assist surgeon and team through all phases of the surgical procedure.
• Label medications in accordance with policies.
• Operate specialty instruments and equipment used for all procedures.
• Clean and return instruments after cases and prepare for sterilization.
• Collaborate with team to maximize patient outcomes and smooth workflow.
