Job summary

SCA Health in Minneapolis, MN, is hiring a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist to support operative procedures and instrument handling in a fast-paced surgical environment.

In this role you will scrub for procedures, prepare and transport instruments, and assist with room turnover between cases. A high school diploma or GED plus an approved Surgical Technologist program is required; ORT certification or ASC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certification.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist course.
• Two years previous operating room experience.
• ASC experience preferred.
• ORT certification preferred.
• Training from military surgical technology programs accepted.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.
• Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
