Job summary

Townsen Memorial Health System in Houston is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join Townsen Memorial Surgery Center - Med Center. The role involves scrubbing in and assisting the physician for all cases, and standby for sterile processing duties after cases.

Responsibilities include instrument management, room turnover, adherence to sterile technique, compliance with safety and privacy policies, and ongoing professional development. Must have surgical technology training and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Formal education in surgical technology required.
• Current Surgical Technologist Certification from an accredited program or completed appropriate training.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in and assist the physician for all cases.
• Assist with sterile processing including decontamination, preparation, packaging, sterilization and sterile storage.
• Prepare and deliver instrumentation to the operating room; monitor and turnover rooms.
