Live Well Homecare is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons during procedures in Scranton, ensuring aseptic techniques and equipment readiness. You will scrub in, gown, glove, and prepare the operating room while maintaining accurate documentation and patient safety.

The role requires CST certification, completion of a surgical technology training program, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment with on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures across all ages, coordinating treatments and providing patient support.
• Prepare operating rooms, scrub in, gown, glove, drape, and set up instruments following aseptic protocols.
• Participate in surgical time-out and briefing, verify surgical site, and maintain accurate supply and specimen documentation.
• Manage specimen handling, wound assessment, dressing changes, and disposal of sharps and linens.
• Maintain universal precautions, initiate emergency procedures, and perform billing and on-call duties.
• Act as a preceptor for students, perform quality control, and support additional tasks like specimen collection and patient transport.
