Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center in Spokane, WA. The role involves preparing instruments, assisting surgeons, and ensuring sterile technique throughout procedures.

The position features a day shift (4-10s), with no weekends, nights, on-call, or major holidays. WA state Surgical Tech registration and BLS are required; previous experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• WA State Surgical Tech registration required.
• Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to problem solve in high-stress situations.
• Previous surgical technologist experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments and supplies for each case.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide correct items.
• Use preference cards and surgery schedule for case planning.
• Maintain integrity of supplies, equipment and instruments; report concerns.
• Promote productivity with efficient case turnover and workflow.
• Perform surgical scrubs and gowning with aseptic technique.
• Count sponges and needles with RN per procedure.
• Distribute and dispose of biohazards; follow standard precautions.
• Run autoclave and document results per policy.
