Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
• Completion of a nationally accredited Surgical Technologist program or CST credential.
• One year of cumulative surgical technologist experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating room and case cart with sterile supplies and equipment.
• Assists in transporting patients to operating room.
• Assists in positioning patient and preparing operative area.
• Assembles and prepares implants or devices for procedures.
• Passes instruments, sponges and sutures during surgery and maintains counts.
