Portneuf Medical Center is seeking a day shift, full-time Cardiovascular OR Surgical Technician in Pocatello, ID. Join a team affiliated with Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute and Portneuf Medical Group, delivering high-quality patient care with access to advanced technology.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Surgical Tech program or a Certified Surgical Technologist.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsabilités

• Assist with nursing care of patients preoperatively, intraoperatively, and postoperatively.
• Prepare and disburse surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of asepsis and AORN guidelines.
• Participate in responsible management of departmental resources.
• Take call as required by the department.
• Maintain competencies in the main OR and CVOR.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the nursing care of patients preoperatively, intraoperatively, and postoperatively by performing routine and delegated duties according to the standards of the department and hospital practice and policies.
• Responsible for the preparation and disbursement of surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation - pre, intra-, and postoperatively.
• Demonstrates knowledge of principles of asepsis.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the standards of AORN guidelines.
• Assumes responsibility for clinical competence and professional development.
• Participates in the responsible management of all departmental resources.
• Takes call as required by the department.
• Maintains competencies in the main OR as well as the CVOR.

Qualifications
