Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a day shift, full-time Cardiovascular OR Surgical Technician in Pocatello, ID to support preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care at Portneuf Medical Center.

Responsibilities include preparing supplies, maintaining asepsis, and assisting the team under AORN guidelines; BLS must be obtained within 14 days of hire. This role requires clinical competence and teamwork in a high‑performing surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Surgical Tech program or a Certified Surgical Technologist
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with nursing care of patients preoperatively, intraoperatively, and postoperatively
• Prepare and disburse surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation – pre, intra-, and postoperatively
• Demonstrate knowledge of asepsis principles and AORN guidelines
• Maintain competencies in the OR and CVOR
• Take call as required by the department
