Job summary

BayCare Wesley Chapel Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Department Pool. You will provide technical support in the perioperative period under RN supervision and assist with sterile technique, instrumentation, and equipment setup.

Location: Wesley Chapel Hospital. Shift: 6:30am–5:00pm. Requires CST certification and BLS. Strong interpersonal and clinical skills are essential to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program.
• CST (Surgical Tech) certification.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Must have knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field setup as well as laser equipment use and maintenance.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Clinical skills appropriate to position.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support in the perioperative period under RN supervision.
• Assist with sterile technique, instrumentation, and equipment setup.
• Demonstrate knowledge of sterile field setup and instrument handling.
• Operate and maintain laser equipment as required and maintain professional interpersonal relations.
