Job summary

Azza HealthCare Agency is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons during procedures and ensure patient safety in a clinical setting. The role involves preparing instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. On‑call rotations and holiday work are part of the schedule.

Full medical coverage starts from day one for eligible staff. Candidates must hold CST certification or be eligible and graduate from a specialty training program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures across all age groups, practicing aseptic techniques.
• Coordinate treatments with multidisciplinary teams and provide basic patient assistance.
• Set up surgical instruments, verify surgical site, and maintain accurate counts of supplies.
• Prepare and verify specimens, dispose of sharps, and change dressings per instructions.
• Maintain universal precautions, initiate emergency procedures, and participate in patient admission/discharge.
• Perform billing, participate in on-call rotations, and act as a preceptor for students.
• Ensure compliance with policies, conduct quality control, and perform additional duties like specimen collection and patient transport.
