ARMStaffing in Carlsbad, NM is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week contract. The role includes preparing the OR, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting with instruments during a range of procedures.

Requirements include a CAAHEP-accredited program, NBSTSA certification, and BLS; at least 2 years of CST experience. Must be available for 4x10 hour shifts with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CST experience.
• NBSTSA certification required; BLS certification required.
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and sterile field.
• Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon during surgeries.
• Manage surgical equipment and perform counts of sponges and supplies.
• Coordinate specimen handling and maintain the sterile environment.
