Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our multi-specialty ambulatory surgical center on a PRN basis. You will scrub in ophthalmology, ENT, orthopedics, and other specialties, assisting surgeons and the OR team.
Responsibilities include equipment prep, sterile field setup, instrument passing, and patient positioning. Prior OR experience and CST certification are preferred; BLS is required.
Scheduling: 1-3 days per week, depending on the needs of the center. Various Monday-Friday day shifts.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Physician and/or Registered Nurse
Surgical technologists, also called scrubs and surgical or operating room technicians, assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. Surgical technologists are members of operating room teams, which most commonly include surgeons, anesthesiologists, and circulating nurses.
As a Surg Tech, you will be trained and scrubbed in all specialties (ophthalmology, ENT, pain management, ortho and retina). Picking cases and room turnover is expected to be done by the team.
Surgical technologists work in clean, well-lit, well-ventilated environments. Must stand for long periods and remain alert during operations. At times may be exposed to communicable diseases and unpleasant sights, odors, and materials.
Occasional evening and/ or weekend work.
