Job summary

South Kansas City SurgiCenter is seeking a skilled Surgical Tech to support the operating room, preparing sterile supplies and maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures. You will hand instruments to the surgeon and ensure all supplies are ready for each case.

Requirements include graduation from an ORT/Surgical Tech program, at least one year of experience, proficiency in ENT and Plastics, and an active BLS certificate. This is a full-time day shift position affiliated with St.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited ORT/Surgical Tech program and minimum one year of experience.
• Proficient in ENT and Plastics specialties.
• Experience scrubbing in multiple procedures (General, Ortho, Urology, Ophthalmic, Pain, Colo-Rectal).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate and ability to maintain it.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for procedures and maintain sterile field.
• Provide surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during cases.

Responsibilities

The Surgical Tech is responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintaining sterile field during case and providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• graduation from an accredited ORT/Surgical Tech program AND minimum one year of experience, required
• must be proficient in the following specialties: ENT and Plastics
• experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., General, Ortho, Urology, Ophthalmic, Pain, Colo-Rectal)
• current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
