Job summary

South Kansas City SurgiCenter is seeking a dedicated Surgical Tech to support sterile preparation and maintain a sterile field. You will provide the surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments throughout procedures, ensuring safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of experience, completion of an accredited ORT/Surgical Tech program, and proficiency in ENT and Plastics. A current BLS certification is required at hire.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited ORT/Surgical Tech program and at least one year of experience.
• Proficient in ENT and Plastics specialties.
• Experience scrubbing in General, Ortho, Urology, Ophthalmic, Pain, Colo-Rectal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each procedure.
• Maintain sterile field during procedures and assist the surgeon with supplies.

Responsibilities

The Surgical Tech is responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintaining sterile field during case and providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• graduation from an accredited ORT/Surgical Tech program AND minimum one year of experience, required
• must be proficient in the following specialties: ENT and Plastics
• experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., General, Ortho, Urology, Ophthalmic, Pain, Colo-Rectal)
• current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
