Job summary

Pacific Sacramento Surgery Center, LLC, a subsidiary of University of the Pacific, seeks a Surgical Technologist to support the launch and ongoing operations of a new Ambulatory Surgery Center in Sacramento, California. You will work with the OR team to ensure sterile environments and efficient procedures.

The role collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and staff to deliver safe, patient-centered care and maintain regulatory readiness across ASC operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• 1 year of perioperative, PACU, OR, or related surgical experience required.
• CST certification preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an ASC with surgeons and nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Participate in workflow development and regulatory readiness, including accreditation prep and infection prevention.
• Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms and environments.
• Assist surgeons by anticipating instrumentation and supply needs.
• Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts with circulating staff.
• Assemble, clean, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and trays.
• Support OR setup, equipment readiness, and supply inventory management.
