Mayo Clinic in Florida, Jacksonville is seeking a Surgical Technologist to provide safe, efficient perioperative care under the RN and surgeon supervision. You will scrub, prepare instrumentation, and support the surgical team across multiple specialties in a state‑of‑the‑art facility.

Position requires graduation from an accredited program, NBSTSA certification within one year, and current BLS. Prior experience in General surgery, Urology, Gynecology, Neuro‑ and Orthopedics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited or military surgical technology program.
• Certification through NBSTSA required within one year of hire date; maintained thereafter.
• Current BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• The Surgical Technologist provides safe and efficient care to the surgical patient under the supervision of the RN and in collaboration with the surgeon.
• Functions primarily in the scrub role and is responsible for selecting, preparing, and maintaining instrumentation, equipment, and supplies.
• Possesses knowledge in sterile and aseptic technique and adapts to unpredictable perioperative situations.
• Uses knowledge of anatomy, procedures, instrumentation and technology as a member of the surgical team.
• Supports advanced procedures and protocol development in designated service lines as needed.
