Job summary

The Advanced Surgical Technologist role expands to complex procedures (Cardiothoracic, Transplant, Neurosurgery, Vascular), with opportunities to help develop protocol and manage advanced instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited or military surgical technology program.
• NBSTSA certification required within one year of hire date and maintained thereafter.
• Current BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross required upon hire and maintained thereafter.
• Minimum 2+ years of independent scrubbing experience for Advanced Surgical Technologist.
• ENT/Pain experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient care to the surgical patient under RN supervision and in collaboration with the surgeon.
• Function primarily in the scrub role, selecting, preparing, and maintaining instrumentation and supplies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of sterile/aseptic technique and adaptability in the perioperative setting.
• Support complex procedures in advanced roles and contribute to protocol development and workflow optimization.
• Be prepared to meet on-call requirements and flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
