Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Tech for 40 hours per week at our facility in Georgia. The role features four 10-hour days with call, with pay range of $26.55–$39.85 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

You will prepare instruments, maintain sterile fields, and support the surgical team throughout procedures. Responsibilities include equipment prep, sterilization, and assisting the surgeon and anesthesia team as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum education of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of surgical tech program, either technical or military school.
• No experience required, but one year experience is preferred.
• Must attain certification within 12 months to remain in position. Military certification will be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designated equipment and supplies used in the case.
• Prepares surgical instrumentation for sterilization and pulls together needed materials for procedures.
• Prepares the sterile field, instrumentation and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon, assists the nurse and the anesthesia provider as needed.
