Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join a team providing surgical care under a surgeon's supervision. You will ensure a safe operating room environment, prepare sterile supplies, and assist with procedures to maximize patient safety.

This role is 0.8 FTE (32 hours/week) with 8-hour shifts and variable hours. Sign-on bonus of $1,500 and an application deadline of 11/10/2026 are noted. Applicants must meet US eligibility and hold an accredited program degree.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for employment in the U.S.
• Degree from an accredited Surgical Technologist program required.
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• BLS certification is required upon hire.
• Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital environment preferred.
• Must possess a cell phone that interfaces with the organization’s secure message system.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patients’ rights, preferences, and needs, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient, coworkers, and organization.
• Check supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure.
• Open sterile supplies and set up sterile table with instruments and meds.
• Ensure universal protocol compliance with Time Out pre-procedure checks.
• Maintain infection control standards throughout patient care.
• Prepare and apply sterile dressing and label specimens.
• Pass instruments to surgeon and assist as directed during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist in room turnover for next patient.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to call-ins as needed.
