Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist 3 to join the OR team. This full‑time position requires variable shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Employees have variable day off and on‑call duties.

Job Responsibilities

• The Surgical Technologist 3 demonstrates superior knowledge of aseptic and surgical techniques in the role of the first scrub.
• Anticipates variances from expected outcomes and responds to patient needs immediately.
• Assists with the flow of the daily operating room schedule by readily accepting assignments/reassignments.
• Demonstrates awareness of and commitment to professional and leadership responsibilities.
• Reserves as a resource in at least three specialty areas/procedures and assumes responsibility for the management of specialty equipment and instrumentation.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma, GED or equivalent
• Experience: 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience
• Certification:
  • Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required upon start.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS‑C) via NCCT required upon start.
• License: Registered Surgical Technologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia required upon start.
