Job Description

Inova Fair Oaks | Surgical Technologist 3 | Full-Time Days | Sign-on Bonus & Relocation Available. Schedule is three 12-hour shifts on variable days M-F with an on-call component for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Responsibilities

• Recognize safety hazards and implement preventative and corrective actions.
• Anticipate needs for unscheduled procedures or unexpected events during surgeries.
• Demonstrate knowledge and composure in stressful and emergency situations.
• Assist with daily operating room schedule, accepting assignments as needed.
• Show leadership and professional responsibility.
• Accept accountability for judgments and actions.
• Participate in departmental goals, educational programs, and quality improvement.
• Document at least 40 hours of self-development activities, including 12 formal contact hours.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• 2 years’ experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) via NCCT
• BLS certification via AHA
• Surgical Technologist registration with the Commonwealth of Virginia at hire
