Job summary

Christiana Care Health System in Delaware seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist the surgical team under a nurse's direction. You will scrub on various procedures, manage instruments, and uphold aseptic standards in the OR.

The role includes on-site daily duties with occasional on-call and weekend coverage. The ideal candidate has a surgical technologist program background, at least 1 year of experience, and a commitment to safety and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of scrub responsibilities for neonate to geriatric patients.
• Ability to act independently within established procedures and protocols.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and use computer systems as required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficient clinical skills in the scrub role.
• Scrub across a wide range of procedures with proper aseptic technique.
• Handle instruments/equipment in the OR and maintain asepsis.
• Act as a preceptor to new staff to improve practice.
• Report unsafe activities or conditions to leadership.
