Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a certified Surgical Technologist to support the surgical team in the OR. The role focuses on scrub responsibilities, aseptic technique, and instrument handling across diverse procedures under nurse direction.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited surgical technologist program, with at least one year of related experience. NBSTSA/NCCT certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program (post-2009 hiring).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Knowledge of scrub responsibilities for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
• Ability to work independently within procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficient clinical scrub skills.
• Scrubs a wide range of procedures with aseptic technique.
• Handles instruments/equipment in the OR with proper safety.
• Opens to learning new scrub techniques and equipment.
