Job summary

Aspirus Stanley Hospital in Stanley, Wisconsin, seeks a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room. You will plan and organize supplies, instruments and equipment for procedures, and promote ongoing education for yourself and peers.

Collaboration with the surgical team ensures safe, efficient patient care throughout surgery. The role notes no call, weekends, or holidays, with hours a full-time 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period), Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a surgical technologist program or related field.
• Three or more years of related OR experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist beneficial.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST in Stanley, WI to work in our Operating Room at Aspirus Stanley Hospital.

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for planning and organizing supplies, instruments and equipment for surgical procedures. Promotes education of self, peers and students. Collaborates with all surgical team members to assure the safe and efficient passage of a patient through surgery. Responsible for their activities that can interact with, collaborate with, cause, or result in an effect or consequence to or with other practitioners in the surgical environment.

This position has no call, weekends or holidays!

Hours: Full-time, 0.9 FTE or 72 hours per pay period. Mon-Fri. No call.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of surgical standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from a surgical technologist program or related field and/or three or more years of related experience in the operating room.
• One year acute care surgical experience beneficial.
• Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist beneficial.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
