Job summary

ECU Health seeks a Surgical Technologist to maintain the sterile field, prepare instruments, and assist surgeons during procedures. The role supports staff education and participates in service excellence initiatives.

Minimum requirements include BLS, completion of an approved Surgical Technology program, or equivalent military/nursing certifications. On-call and shift flexibility may be required. ECU Health offers growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

• Certification from a military program is acceptable.
• RN/LPN nursing program graduate is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the sterile field integrity, safety, and efficiency during procedures.
• Prepare and arrange instruments and supplies for surgeries.
• Assist the surgeon and assistants by providing sterile instruments and supplies as needed.

Job description

Position Summary

Maintains the integrity, safety and efficiency of the sterile field throughout surgical procedures. Prepares and arranges instruments and supplies. Assists the surgeon and assistants throughout the operation by providing sterile instruments and supplies. Attends educational programs and staff orientation which promote personal and professional development. Participates in Service Excellence Program.

Minimum Requirements

• American Heart Association BLS
• Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program, Certification from a Military Program, Graduated from an accredited Nursing Program RN/LPN
• Accepting applications for all levels of experience (New Grads - 25+ Years of Experience)

Clinical Ladder Other Information

• Day Shift 4x 9hr Shifts (M-F) - rotating day off
• 6:45A-4:15P
• On Call Required (Rotating Weekend Call
