Job summary

ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro, NC is seeking a Surgical Technologist to maintain the sterile field and assist the surgical team. You will prepare instruments, arrange supplies, and hand sterile instruments to the surgeon during procedures.

This role supports ongoing education, participates in our Service Excellence Program, and offers benefits and opportunities for growth within the ECU Health system.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program or equivalent.
• RN/LPN from an accredited nursing program or military medical training accepted.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the sterile field’s integrity, safety and efficiency during procedures.
• Prepare and arrange instruments and supplies.
• Assist the surgeon and assistants by providing sterile instruments and supplies.
• Attend educational programs and staff orientation to promote development.
• Participate in the Service Excellence Program.

Position Summary

Minimum Requirements

• American Heart Association BLS
• Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program, Certification from a Military Program, Graduated from an accredited Nursing Program RN/LPN
• Accepting applications for all levels of experience (New Grads - 25+ Yers of Experience)

Clinical Ladder Pay Range

• New Grad pay begins at $26.00 per hour
• $7500 Sign-On Bonus & 20K Commitment Bonus Available
• Relocation Packages Available

  • On Call Required
    • 1-2 Weekday Call Shifts & 1 Weekend Call per 6 week scheduling period
