The UW Medical Center - Montlake Operating Rooms has an outstanding opportunity for a Surgical Technologist.

WORK SCHEDULE

• 40 or 36 hours per week
• Day, Evening or Night Shift

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, obtain, assemble, and arrange sterile instruments and supplies, perform scrub role, and maintain patient safety throughout perioperative care.
• Use effective communication skills to enhance teamwork and customer service; be flexible and proactive to support an efficient surgical environment.
• Success in this position requires organization, teamwork, staying current with developments, strong communication skills, and knowledge of surgical technologist duties.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Lead in patient care by prepping and maintaining operating rooms for surgeries.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, from scheduling to surgeons.
• Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing instruments and supplies.
• Perform scrub role supporting patient safety and sterile environment.
• Support post-operative tasks, including sterilization and OR turnover.

Required Position Qualifications

Completion of a Surgical Technologist program and one year of experience assisting in operative procedures, or equivalent education/experience.

Legal Requirement

Registered by the State of Washington as a Surgical Technologist, or licensed as LPN, RN, or Physician in Washington.
