Job summary

Huebner Ambulatory Surgery Center in San Antonio is seeking a motivated Scrub Tech to join our surgical team. This is a full-time position offering a salary range of $25.00 - $35.00 per hour.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to deliver excellent patient care, this role is for you. As a Scrub Tech, you'll maintain a sterile environment, assist during procedures, and ensure surgical success.

Qualifications

• Completion of a post-high school Surgical Technology program.
• CST or CORT certification required.
• One year of experience in a surgical setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a sterile field and uphold all principles of aseptic technique.
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, supplies, sutures, and equipment.
• Prepare equipment, instruments, and operating rooms before procedures.
• Assist with scrubbing, gowning, and gloving for the surgical team.
• Prepare dressings and assist with postoperative bandage application.
• Operate, adjust, and monitor surgical and sterile processing equipment.
• Position and prepare patients for surgery.
• Participate in instrument, sponge, and sharps counts.
• Clean and restock the operating room following procedures.
• Support compliance with accreditation and departmental standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and center information.
• Assist with supply and equipment maintenance.
• Document accurately and in a timely manner.
• Respond quickly to changing patient or surgical needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
